Printing With iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone

Many people are contented reading on their Apple gadget like the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone. It is easier to carry than books and is more eco-friendly because you don’t use too much paper. However, for people who are used to the conventional type of reading, printing is always an option. Some people might even want to sell their iPads and buy a computer with a printer. Besides, it still easier to read on paper rather than on the screen, even with the new iPad’s and iPhone 4S and 5’s Retina Display Technology. But wait, you can now print with your Apple gadget as long as it has AirPrint in it. Here’s how.

In order for you to print your text from your iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone, you are required to use AirPrint which is a new feature of the iOS 4.2. You can also use almost any printer in this process. AirPrint is a feature that allows you to print wirelessly from your Apple gadget as long as it is running on iOS 4.2. You just have to worry about the printer because only a few printers support this feature. So, no need to sell your iPad now.

Luckily, there is a way to still be able to print even if the printer does not support the feature. However, in this process, you have to go through your MacBook to print from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. The printer then must be plugged into your Mac.

1.    First, download AirPrint Hacktivator. After downloading it, unzip the file and put AirPrintHacktivator.app to the Applications folder. Launch it.

2.    The interface is very easy to understand and use. Switch it from OFF to ON.

3.    The app will ask for your password. Enter your password then click OK.

4.    Eventually, a message will appear from the AirPrint Hacktivator. It will tell you that the process is completed. Again, just click OK.

5.    The app will now launch the Print and Fax Section of your System Preferences automatically. From the Printers panel, choose the printer that you want to print from your Apple gadget. Make sure that you have checked the box labeled “Share this printer on the network.” Then, click the Sharing Preferences… button.

6.    The Printer Sharing must be enabled and your chosen printer must have a check next to it. By this time, you can close the System Preferences window now.

7.    Click the button on your Apple gadget to bring up the menu which has “Print” in it. Take note that there are some apps that do not allow printing.

8.    Click the Select Printer option.

9.    In this stage, your Apple gadget will be searching for available printers.

10.    Once it finds the printer you want to use, select it.

11.    You can now decide the number of copies of the text you want to print, and use the plus and minus buttons to pick the number. Click the Print button to send the text or image to the printer.

And that is it! Everything’s done. You just have to wait for the printer to finish printing your file. See, you don’t have to sell your iPad just to buy a laptop or personal computer. Your iPad, iPhone and/or iPod Touch is as good as any computer out there for printing.
