Apps for College Students: Great iPad Apps to Help You in Your Presentation

One thing a college student does most is presentations. There are educators who love to test the speaking skills of their students by assigning them topics to explain and having them prepare for a presentation. Other than that, a simple speech is usually boring without presentation slides. Besides, most people find it more engaging to have something to look at than to listen to. So, why not sell old iPad and get the new one because these apps will work better with the new iPad’s Retina Display.

For Making Presentation Slides

Most people find it easier to create presentation slides with the Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Of course, Apple has their own called Keynote ($10). Yes, it is easier to create presentations on a Mac or a personal computer, but what if you are on the go? Yes, you can use a laptop, but is that enough? The iPad is a better option because it is smaller and has less weight. You can use Keynote to create a presentation. Other than that, if you already have one, you can review it using your iPad, so that you do not have to carry a laptop with you around the university campus or conference area.

For Giving Presentations

One thing you need to remember is the cut-off time. It is better that you know what time you should begin and stop and how long your presentation is supposed to be. Presentation Clock ($1) can help you with that. It countdowns the time you have left for your presentation by the second! Its color change feature is also helpful because it tells you the pre-defined intervals. When the time is up, the colors invert (black numbers and red background) and the clock starts counting up. This way, you will move faster because it tells you that your time has ended.

For Making an Impression

A simple slide is not enough to engage your audience in your talk. Having pictures in your presentation adds to the visual appeal, especially if it visualizes your narrative. Snapseed ($5) is a good app for this kind of problem. It is an intuitive photo enhancement app. It makes dull photos look like they were taken by a profession photographer. It is also very easy to use because it will automatically edit it as long as you define which area of the photo you would like to be improved. The touched area’s brightness will change. So does the contrast and the saturation levels. This app is for polishing your photos even though you do not have any experience. Other than making your presentation look good, you can also share photos using this app.

To make your presentation look more impressive, you can use iFontMaker ($7) so that you can create your own typeset. It can also be exported into a TFF file and installed on your Mac or any personal computer.

That is it! Those are some of the apps to aid you with your presentation. If you want a better look, why not sell old iPad and buy the new one so that the new iPad’s Retina Display can help you with its great graphics!
